2011 Saturday 2nd April White Horse Ceilidh

An excellent ceilidh with Will Hall calling some brilliant dances to the band Pigeon English - drums, keyboard and melodeon - with Lumbawakk doing the half time entertainment. Thank you once again Graham for the invitation.

Photos at the top - taken by Keith - and there would have beenvideo at the bottom of the page if it had been recorded!

Invisible Joanne, George and Dot join in as stick bashers for Noughts and Crosses, our first dance of our 20 minute display.

Thierry and his tattoo get ready for Elbows with Sally

Joanne, George, Hazel, Alan and almost invisible Dot provided the music and percussive support.

We were DaZzLeD by the spotlights and couldn't see our dancers!

Noughts and Crosses sticking...

Magic Roundabout...

Then we did Jacobs Ladder which Keith was dancing so we didn't get any photos!

We moved our musicians down to the bar end so the dancers were at the bright end of the hall...and so that the musicians were not blinded.

Will Hall must have found it difficult calling without being able to see the dancers - but you couldn't tell.

Rapper - Simon, Thierry, Sally, Lissa and the Invisible George

The invisible George becomes visible for this lock.

Lissa getting almost pulled over backwards during Haymarket by the weight of the swords on her shoulders! Lesson: shorter 2 and 4 must lift their hands even higher to take the weight off the taller number 3.

Sue, Lisa, Ben, Jess and the invisible Hazel formed the second of our Synchronised sets for Rapper.

Cramper... Lissa suffered a bloody tooth from a fist in the mouth rapper accident at about this time.

Sue, Lisa, slice of Hazel, Ben and Jess as Ben raises the locked swords.

Alan, our own Captain Accordion meets with approval from the crowd.

Fairy Dance -with Sally defending herself well against Thierry's apparent attack. Lissa made the line wonky as she desperately resisted the urge to join the 'girls' line of red coats.

The best side of Hazel - if there is one!

That's more like it! Sally's on the attack this time - get that stick ready Thierry!

Dot, George, Joanne, Hazel and Thierry Alan played for the Fairy Dance - our fourth dance.

Thierry's "Lumbawakk and wacky dancer" tattoo for White Horse Ceilidh.
