Many thanks to Clive Phillips for inviting us to dance at this wonderful fete in the grounds of Antwicks Manor in Letcombe Regis. A fun time was had by all the Bruniers and Coxes who devoured vast quantities of chocolate cakes and drinks. We all "span the wheel" to see what sweeties we could win and watched people trundle down the ramp on a wheelie-horse jousting with very limited success! Our hosts, Clive, David and Wendy, were most gracious, and as the sun came out and the temperature soared, we turned pink and were very glad of the complimentary cups of squash - and a generous slice of cake as we listened to the Wantage Silver Band playing village-fete music under the trees.

We thoroughly enjoyed spending a civilised afternoon helping raise £4000 for the Letcombe Regis parish church and The Jerusalem Eye Hospital in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, where rates of blindness are ten times higher than in the West. Good Job - congratulations to the organising committee and the Great Provider of Sunshine!
