2010 - The End of March

A simply splendid evening again at Waddesdon Village Hall, with fifteen Lumbawakkers all having a very merry time. We danced Jacobs Ladder - with good straight lines for once, and synchronised rapper which went very well, with Sid in the 'boys' set dancing with us for the first time since Bunkfest 2009 and not a step out of place. Well done Sid. Later James, Ben, Andy and Josh did a most entertaining entertainment spot - the Evolution of Dance. Well done to you too.

We got some real compliments too, some from people we've always admired and complimented behind their backs. Capering Crew's dancer Simon Pipe said we were a wonderful team and pulled up a chair for Alan to sit on to play with the other musicians and Mark Rogers Capering Crew's musician came over especially to say nice stuff and have a general chat.

We said nice things to other people too, because we really did enjoy watching them. And we really did enjoy the social time with our own side too. Hazel admired Kingstone Rappers laburnam handles on their own home-made rapper swords, and James liked their swords too because they were really shiny.

So yeah, a good night.

Who holds their fork like this?

Josh smiling at his drink. Hmmmm...
No good clicking on this photo, it's worse big!

James' neck came out rather badly in the rapper...?

Hazel wrote to Owlswick:
A great big THANK YOU for a most enjoyable evening at your 2010 Ale.
We enjoyed it all – the dance displays, the entertainment spots, the social time, the drink, the food,... Well, everything was wonderful.
We’ve spent a happy morning putting some photos and videos up onto our website.

Owlswick replied:
Thanks Hazel and all of Lumbawakk.
It's the company that makes a success of any do and with you there we couldn't really fail...
The "spot" brought back all too many memories alas.
