2009 July - St Nicholas School Wallingford

Sue invited us to dance at the infants school where she works. Ten of us rallied round - 9am!

With all the schoolchildren in the hall and a good bunch of mummies and daddies we watched Maypole dancing club perform three dances for us - they did very well indeed, especially since they were only 5 - 7 years old.

Then after a brief history of morris by Thierry they watched us perform Just as the Tide was Flowing and a Rapper display and Tinners Rabbit before we got the room full of teaching staff, pupils and parents dancing using our soft sticks. The sixty spectators were disappointed!

Later, we did two country dances with some of the 5 - 7 year olds while the 3 - 4 year olds borrowed our soft sticks and played "Border Morris" in the nursery garden with them. Great fun...

Our rapper display. Tinners Rabbit in full flow.
Matt helped the headmistress dismiss a class back to their hard classroom work. They lined up beautifully and walked out so well, they got the thumbs up sign from Matt and the headmistress. Well done Matt.
Lissa was popular with the little girls and succumbed to pressure to hug them! Matt tried to muscle in on the act, but got no requests for hugs, thankfully.
