2009 - October - Dance out with Borderline and Cornucopia in Wallingford
What a jolly good day. Eleven of us went out and made a great impression on Borderline and Cornucopia. We collected money from passers by for the Donkey Sanctuary and had chips for lunch!
A very sociable day, with many memorable moments - including the Doug-the-Borderline Kilt-Lifting-Man, a swift game of cards on the patio table outside the pub between Ben and Andy, Josh drinking beer and John Barrowman who momentarily dropped in for lunch! And, as you can see from the photos outside the Cross Keys, there seemed to be some other celebrity spectators that only Josh could see at the time... Unbelievable!
We got loads of compliments on our dancing at the chat/music session that followed the dancing of the day.
Concensus from Lumbawakkatorians was that the dance out was gr8t and we would do another. It was nice that it was a small enough 'do' and relaxed. We weren't rushing and that meant we could talk to the other teams. Definitely enjoyable. Chips for lunch together in the park was good. We would do it again! Nothing was bad apart from the fact we were really tired afterwards. A brilliant day - thank you Jenny and Borderline for organising the day and inviting us, and thank you to Issy of Borderline for some of the photos on this page.
